However it can be irritating to lose expensive items such as Red Matter. This is generally not a big problem as you can just relearn whatever was forgotten. There has also been another instance of a glitch where the Transmutation Tablet can "forget" some items that are placed inside it. There is a rare glitch which causes incompatible items to disappear once placed in the left hand section of the table. You have 1 wood, and 1 diamond, and you would like iron. If you do not have an item you wish to create, but have placed on the tablet before, you can place items, or combinations of items, totaling the same (or slightly higher) EMC value to target that item. Instead, one can use an Energy Condenser for automatic transmutation. The Transmutation Tablet cannot be used with Buildcraft Transport Pipes or Redpower Pneumatic Tubes. When the klein star is picked up and replaced in the tablet, the tablet will show "No Lock", but any Energy item can be placed on the left side of the table or incinerated to show other Energy items. Matter can be transmuted into Energy or vice versa by dropping a klein star into the left side of the table to absorb the EMC stored in the tablet. If you have 8192 EMC in matter (from a diamond), you can not convert that to an Aeternalis or any other fuel. Energy items include Coal, Charcoal, Redstone Dust, Nikolite, Alchemical Coal, Gunpowder and more. Items that are matter include ores, tools, wood, stone, etc. There are 2 types of items you can put into the Transmutation Tablet: Matter, and Energy. The current type of item placed in the tablet is shown at the top of the GUI. Also if a klein star is in the table it may also forget that is there and you will consequently lose it. Warning: If you have unspent EMC in the tablet when leaving the map, there is a good chance the Transmutation Table will forget it has EMC in it, and reset to 0 EMC. The right hand side shows a list of items that you have learnt, which you can convert the EMC into. This is more of like a trash disposal, albeit a very useful one. The fire icon at the bottom burns the item, learning it as well as turning it into EMC instantly. The items get converted into EMC only when something from the opposite side is taken out. It can be upgraded into the Collector MK2. If it is not upgrading fuels, it will export its EMC to an adjacent device, such as an Energy Condenser or Anti-Matter Relay. It is used to convert light to EMC, and upgrade fuels (see Usage ). The area on the left is for learning purposes as well as for transmutation. The Energy Collector is the first tier of Energy Collectors from Equivalent Exchange 2. You can also learn all possible items by burning an Alchemical Tome in the "burn" slot. Item will not look right, and has no name until placed.Putting an item into the transmutation table will make the table "learn" it. *: indicates that an item cannot be taught normally an Alchemical Tome is required. Here is a list of items with their actual EMC value in order:Ĭobblestone, Cobblestone Slab, Dead Bush, Fern, Tall Grass, Dirt, Glass, Grass, Ice, Leaves, Low Covalence Dust, Mycelium, Netherrack, Sand, Snow, Stone, Stone Brick Stairs, Stone Bricks, Stone Slab, Stone Stairs, Basalt, Basalt Brick, Basalt Cobblestone, Marble, Marble Brick, End Stone Almost every vanilla item, and many modded items, have an EMC value (which will show up on a tooltip). EMC can also be used in a Transmutation Tablet. EMC can be stored by using a Klein Star, holding four times as much EMC with each upgrade. This EMC can be used by a variety of different objects, such as charging and using EE Power Items and various Dark Matter and Red Matter Tools. Another method is to use Energy Collectors, which create EMC from sunlight or artificial light, like glowstone. There are many different methods of obtaining EMC, such as using an Energy Condenser to condense items into more valuable ones. EMC, which stands for Energy-Matter Covalence, is the basic form of exchanging items in Equivalent Exchange.
